| Vanilla Raisin Bread Recipe |

Ingredients
2/3 cup raisins; soaked for an hour in:
3 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon sugar
1 1/8 cup buttermilk; to 1 1/4 cup, can be inst
3 1/2 cup flour; bread
1 egg
2 teaspoon dry yeast
1/2 cup walnuts; chopped
Cooking Directions:
drain raisins well. Place all ingredients except raisins in bread pan. Select light crust and press start. Add raisins and 1/2 c walnuts, chopped, at beep. After baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan and cool on a wire rack for 1 hour before slicing.
Note: if adding vanilla with ingredients, reduce amount of buttermilk by 2-3 tb.
add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans; add 1 tb cinnamon; this is good using Mexican vanilla
