Ingredients
1 bottle port 4/5 qt
4 cup water
6 large golden delicious appls
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 whole cinnamon stick
Cooking Directions:
Pare apples and thinly slice. Combine port with water and bring to boil over high heat. Add apples and simmer uncovered, stirring occasinally for 45 minutes. Add sugar and spices and cook 20 -25 minutes until it resembles applesauce. Prepare 3 pint jars and fill. Set aside to cool and check seals. sunset home canning. e Posted to MM-Recipes Digest V3 #190
