Bird's Nests Recipe
Category: Desserts / Candies
Rating: N/A
Servings: 15

Ingredients

5 oz chow mein noodles
1 cup peanuts; finely chopped
12 oz butterscotch chips
60 jellybeans

Cooking Directions:

We usually do these around Easter break so he can take them to school for treats. You can substitute other candies for the jellybeans.

Melt chips. Add noodles & chopped peanuts & stir until thoroughly coated. Drop onto wax paper into 15 globs. Form into a nest. Push 4 - 5 jelly beans slightly into nest.

Chill candy until hardened.

At Easter time, use a marshmallow peep in the nest instead of the jelly beans.

If not making nests, drop candy by smaller spoonfuls. Makes about 30 candies.

NOTES : Chocolate chips can be substituted.
