Ingredients

----SAVORY CRUNCH----
1 cup bisquick® baking mix
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup parmesan cheese; grated
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup butter or margarine; firm
----FISH----
1 large onion; thinly sliced &
1 separated into rings
1/4 cup butter or margarine; melted
12 oz individually frozen cod fillets
1 tablespoon lemon juice



Cooking Directions:

Heat oven to 400F degrees.

Savory Crunch: Mix Bisquick, wheat germ, Parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Cut in firm butter thoroughly. Spread in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 X 9 X 2". Bake uncovered until golden brown, 18-20 minutes. Stir with fork to crumble; cool. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator. Makes about 3 1/2 cups crunch.

Fish: Arrange onion rings in ungreased 8" square baking dish; drizzle with melted butter. Arrange fish on onions; drizzle with lemon juice. Sprinkle 1 CUP Savory Crunch evenly over fish. Bake uncovered, at 400F degrees, until fish flakes easily with fork, about 30 minutes.
