Marriage Made In Heaven Chocolate-Orange Mousse Recipe

Ingredients

2 whole eggs
3 whole egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon grand marnier
6 oz semisweet chocolate
2 oz cold water
1 zest of 1 orange
1 juice of 1 orange
1 pkg unflavored gelatin
1 cup whipping cream; half whipped
1 whipped cream; for topping



Cooking Directions:

1. With your electric mixer, beat together the eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until the mixture is very thick.

2. Add the Grand Marnier.

3. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate with the water over very low heat.

4. Grate the orange zest and add to chocolate.

5. Squeeze the orange juice and put in a small pan.

6. Sprinkle the surface of the orange juice with gelatin.

7. Add the melted gelatin to the egg and sugar mixture.

8. Fold the chocolate into the mixture and finally the lightly whipped cream.

9. Fold until thoroughly blended.

10. Pour into 1 1/2 quart serving or soufflé dish.

11. Chill for 4 hours.

Serve with whipped cream flavored with vanilla or Grand Marnier. Makes 6 servings.
