Ingredients
1/4 cup lemon-lime carbonated beverage (lik; e 7-up, or sprite)
1/4 cup dry sherry
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoon sugar
3 tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 lb sirloin steak; cut into 1 cubes
2 cup cherry tomatoes
2 medium carrots; cut into eighths
1/2 lb fresh mushroom caps
2 medium size green peppers; cut into 1 pieces
1 small pineapple; cut into 1 pieces

Combine first 8 ingredients in a large shallow bowl. Add beef cubes, cover and marinate in refrigerator 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove beef cubes from marinade, reserving marinade. Alternately thread beef cubes, tomatoes, onions, mushroom caps, green pepper and pineapple onto skewers. Grill, covered, over medium-hot coals (350 degrees to 400 degrees) 10-12 minutes or to desired degree of doneness, turning and basting occasionally with reserved marinade. Makes 4-5 servings.
