Low-Country Barbecue Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

2 cup chopped tomatoes
1 medium onion; finely chopped
1/4 cup butter or margarine; melted
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon pepper
2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
1 clove garlic
1/2 red pepper pod



Cooking Directions:

Process tomatoes through a food mill or pulse several times in a food processor. Saute' onion in butter in a medium saucepan until tender. Stir in tomatoes, vinegar, and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer sauce, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove and discard garlic and red pepper pod. Serve sauce over sliced pork.
