Ingredients

1 15 oz can pork and beans
1 14 oz can butter beans; drained
6 slice bacon
1 green bell pepper; cut in strips
1 medium onion
1 3 oz can sliced mushrooms; drained
1/2 cup catsup
2 tablespoon prepared mustard
2/3 cup maple syrup (may use part molasses)
1 teaspoon oregano
8 cloves, whole
2 bay leaf
1/3 cup red wine (optional)
1 cup diced green chiles (or more to tast; e), roasted and
1 cup serrano chiles (or more to taste); sliced in rings



Cooking Directions:

Cut bacon slices in half and cook over medium heat, add green pepper and onion. Cook until onion is beginning to turn translucent and bacon is cooked but not crisp. Add all other ingredients. Stir and heat. Posted to CHILE-HEADS DIGEST V3 #086
