| Italian Rice Casserole Recipe |

Ingredients
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 tablespoon oil
1 lb ground beef
1 can (15-oz) tomatoes
1 can (6-oz) tomato paste
1 can (2-oz) mushroom pieces
2 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1 cup uncooked rice
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Cooking Directions:
Saute onion, pepper and celery in oil until almost transparent. Add ground beef and cook until brown. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, mushrooms, parsley and seasonings. Simmer 1 hour. Cook rice according to directions. Mix rice with sauce and place in shallow baking dish. Top with cheese. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.
