Ingredients

2 medium onions; chopped
2 cloves garlic; minced
1 tablespoon ginger root; minced
1 stick (2-inch) cinnamon
2 teaspoon garam masala (or curry powder)
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 can chickpeas
15 oz tomatoes (up to)
4 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cayenne

Brown onion, garlic & ginger slightly in enough oil to coat pan. Add spices. When hot, add chickpeas and their liquid. chop tomatoes and stir in with 3/4 c juice. Add 2 T lemon juice. Taste and add cayenne and more lemon juice if needed.
