Honey-Baked Root Vegetables Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon margarine, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 lb carrots, cut into 4 x 1/2-inch stic; ks
1 small rutabaga, (1 pound) cut into 4 x 1/; 2-inch sticks
1 vegetable cooking spray



Cooking Directions:

Combine honey, margarine, and salt in a large bowl; stir well. Add carrot and rutabaga; toss to coat vegetables.

Arrange the vegetables in a single layer in a 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour or until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 cup).

NOTES : Substitute "squeeze" or liquid margarine for the melted margarine, if desired.
