Hickory Sticks Recipe

Main Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 large egg
1 1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cup nuts; preferably hickory nuts
1 confectioner's sugar



Cooking Directions:

Cream sugar, butter & egg. Sift flour with baking powder & salt. Combine flour with creamed mixture & add nuts. Line 9-inch pie tin with paper. Spread batter & smooth out. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. Cut in long, narrow stript while still warm & roll in confectioner's sugar.
