Ingredients
1 2/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon mace
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup dark molasses
2/3 cup raisins, chopped
2/3 cup walnuts, chopped
Cooking Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, mace, salt and allspice. Cream butter until light; gradually add sugar. Add egg and beat well. Add molasses, flour mixture, raisins and nuts. Mix well. Spresd evenly in greased 8 x 12 inch pan. Bake at 350 degress for 20-25 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into 16 rectangles.
