Glazed Ham Balls Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb ham
1 lb ground pork
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup milk
----GLAZE FOR HAM BALLS----
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 cup orange or pineapple juice
2 tablespoon flour
1/3 cup karo syrup



Cooking Directions:

Mix ground ham, ground pork, oats and milk. Form into balls. Place in shallow pan. Bake 1 hour at 300~. Drain off fat.

While ham balls are baking prepare the glaze: Mix brown sugar, dry mustard, orange or pineapple juice, flour and syrup in saucepan and cook until slightly thickened. Pour over ham balls and bake an addition 15 minutes.

NOTES : Made for dinner. Served over rice with a vegetable and garden salad. Also used as appetizer. Made in oven and then put all in crockpot to keep warm. Recipe by: Carle Family Cookbook Volume I (submitted by Aunt Pat)
