| Ginger Dough Recipe |

Ingredients
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup shortening
1 large egg
12 oz molasses
1 1/2 tablespoon white vinegar
6 1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoon ground ginger
3 teaspoon ground cloves; up to 4
Cooking Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg and beat. Beat in molasses and vinegar. Sift together baking soda, salt, ginger, cloves, cinnamon. Add to mix and cream. Add flour all at once and stir just until flour is blended. Refrigerate until ready to use. This dough must be used CHILLED.
