Ingredients
1 lb lentils -- picked over &
1 washed
6 cup water
1 cup chopped onion
2 carrots -- sliced in thick
1 roun
1 teaspoon salt
2 cup diced rhubarb
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup catsup
1/4 cup molasses
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon ginger
1 large hambone or chunk salt pork
1 if you wish
Cooking Directions:
IN A LARGE KETTLE COMBINE THE LENTILS, WATER, ONION, CARROTS SALT AND HAMBONE. BRING TO A BOIL. COVER AND SIMMER FOR ONE HOUR. STIR IN THE REMAINING INGREDIENTS. PUT IN A BEAN POT OR DUTCH OVEN. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR ONE HOUR OR LONGER, UNTIL LENTILS ARE TENDER, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY. SERVES 8 - 10.
