Category: Beverages / Alcoholic
Rating: N/A
Servings: 4

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 1/2 cup vodka or gin
1 teaspoon mint flavor
1/4 teaspoon green food coloring

Cooking Directions:

In a 4-cup measure or large bowl combine sugar and water. Microwave at high 4 to 5 minutes, or until boiling. Boil 5 minutes. Watch closely; stir if necessary to prevent boilover.

Cool to room temperature. Skim any foam from top. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Pour into bottle; cap. Let stand in a cool, dark place 1 month before serving. Shake bottle occasionally to mix.

I have a microwave cookbook that has some recipes for making liqueurs and things. Here is one that I have tried... I'll let you know in a month how it tastes ;) By the way, I was thinking of making some bottles of this type of thing as Christmas gifts. ANyone else have any recipes for homemade liqueurs?
