Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening (part butter)
1 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Cooking Directions:
Mix shortening, 1 cup sugar & egg. Stir in buttermilk & vanilla. Blend together flour, soda & salt; stir in. Chill dough. Heat oven to 400. Drop by teaspoonfuls of dough 2" apart on lightly greased sheet. Sprinkle mixture with 1/4 cup sugar & cinnamon. Bake 8-10 minutes.
