| Chocolate Bit Lunchbox Bars Recipe |

Ingredients
2/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sifted flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats(quick or regular) uncoo; ked
1 pkg (6 oz) chocolate bits
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Cooking Directions:
Cream butter and sugars till fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats, chocolate bits and nuts. Turn dough into well-greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Cool slightly and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar, then cut into bars. Makes 3 dozen. Do not overbake.
