Ingredients
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 3/4 cup bread flour; or all purpose
1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
2 tablespoon nonfat dry milk
1 teaspoon apple butter; *note or jelly -or 1/2 c
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon dried figs; **note
1/3 cup carrots; grated
3/4 cup water; ***note
Cooking Directions:
This is for the 1 lb loaf.
*NOTE or jelly, or 1/2 cup fresh fine grated apple **NOTE minced, pour boiling water over to soften, drain well, or prunes ***NOTE or omit milk powder & add equal amount milk
Substitutions: I sub'd apricots for the prunes
Add all ingredients in the order suggested by your machine manufactuer. Process on Basic Bread Cycle.
