| Broncos (Corn Dogs) Recipe |

Ingredients
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup yellow corn meal
2 tablespoon shortening
1 slightly beaten egg
3/4 cup milk
1 lb (8 to 10) frankfurters
Cooking Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in corn meal. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Combine egg and milk; add to corn meal mixture, stirring until well blended. Insert wooden skewer into end of each frank. Spread franks evenly with batter. Fry in deep hot oil (375øF.) until brown, 4 to 5 minutes. Serve with catsup and mustard. ~----/ snacks
